I don't know for sure if the link below will work for people other than the intended recipient.
It was sent to me as an offer to encourage me to replace my old TomTom.
It allows a £90 reduction off the price of a TomTom GO 5200 or a £42 reduction off the price of a GO 520 form the official TomTom website.
A quick check showed the GO 5200 selling for more than the discounted price on eBay when sold as new/unopened.
Please note this is not a truck version of the satnav & I still prefer the older TomToms, but anybody currently about to purchase one of these may be able to save some money.

I would not encourage anyone to buy a new TT if they want to use it with 3rd party poi's.

Things are much improved with Tom Tom now. 2 years ago I bought a Go? And had to return it because I couldn't add POI'S.

I have just bought a Go5200 and added all my POI'S with ease. It's a superb satnav and as said by other post, TT are offering 30% discount to previous customers. I paid £209 directly from Tom Tom. Highly recommend

I have always been able to add poi's, what I haven't been able to do is display them on the live map or more than one group of poi's at a time. I agree it's a good satnav, just not if you want to use 3rd party poi's.

The solution is to download the free Tom Tom app onto your android tablet or phone and pair it to the TT device. You can view the map and all or individual poi's on your Android map and when you decide where you're heading to next, select the poi and it immediately sends the new route to the Tom Tom. It seems to work a treat.
