Toll Roads in France

We'll just avoid the peage motorways as we always have done (well apart from one mistake of a couple of miles!). I certainly wasn't going to open another account or change banks - First Direct don't charge for foreign transactions too

I’ve just signed up for the Bip & Go tag. I paid 24€ for the tag deposit ( extra 4€ for Italy). I decided on the Bip &Go because it covers France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, whereas some of the others (eg e-movis) you have to buy separate tag for France and Spain/Portugal.
It took me a while to sort out the direct debit as HSBC don’t do SEPA direct debits. I ended up opening a Wise bank account which you can use anywhere in the world and swap currencies. I transferred some pounds, switched to euros and it went straight through on the Bip &Go website. Plus we now have a euro bank card for the time we are in Europe.
The ‘ala carte’ subscription means you only pay €1.90 each month you use the tag, plus the actual toll fee by direct debit. This means there should be no queuing at tolls, hopefully. We are going Plymouth Roscoff then down to Quimper to start our few weeks over there.

TSB also accept SEPA direct debit payments, we had no problems at all with the Bip&Go tag that we had using the link from GMJ

We use a small Toll on the A14 at Rouen as it saves a lot of time and only costs 3 euros. We have been doing this route for 20 years but now they have scrapped the booths and you have to open an account to pay or find a post office to pay.
We tried to do it online but obviously we have not been successful as nothing has been paid out of the account.What are these tags that you can hold of to also be able to pay?

Can you tell me which junctions on the A14 at Rouen you enter and exit heading south from Dieppe please? We're heading that way at the end of August and normally avoid the toll roads in this area, the only ones we normally use in France are the A10 missing out Tours & Poitiers (Jct's 19 to 30) and Bordeaux to Irun.

Sorry I dont know the junction but from Dieppe head for A14 Paris. You are on the motorway for max 10mins and you get off at the sign for Orleans 154.
We always do this little bit, it about 3.50euros worth it. Then it is a straight good road bar from a couple of villages to Chartres.
Just remember to set up the aforementioned Sanef.com account to pay the toll automatically as there are no toll booths. Hope this helps.

I decided to use the link in r4dent's post to register my vehicle, just in case we use the free-flow motorway. Then, if I forget to log into SANEF's website to pay, they'll send me an email to remind me before imposing a fine. Sorted!
On other peage motorways, if we use them I don't mind stopping at the barrier

Remember that the A13 has no toll booths now, so a tag ,oruse their website to pay tolls

We've never used toll roads, but may do this year as we want to 'dash' to Limoges, rather than bimble as we usually do.

So do I get a Bip&Go tag, I already have a Lloyds account, and drive through any toll anywhere in France, Spain & Portugal and not have to worry, it will take the payment automatically?
