Planning a jaunt through Europe and wondered if the continentals run a TAG system for their toll roads as it would be easier than stopping and using cash at 'Payage's' Any advice appreciated and if there are such systems in operation how and where can I get one?

Thanks for your responses, I seem to have entered the same query twice, most have wondered why it did not show immediately then re-entered, sorry. We are off next week so will report on how we get on.

There doesn't seem to be one seamless tag that will do everywhere. Some countries have tags, others vignettes to stick in windows, and so on.

This looks a useful site - Toll, Vignettes & Emission sticker

We use a LiberT tag in France as we go through there quite a bit. There's something similar for Italy which I may also get, but otherwise, it looks as if any solution may be pricey and aimed at HGV trade really.

Do they still have the policy of charging more for "large" M's? It seems that it used to be up to the operator what is actually defined as "large". If you have a tag axle = large. Similar sized two axle van "Not large" and watch out if you are towing your runabout on an A frame or trailer That always seemed to cause some debate.
