Toll Prices

I think it depends on if a person is just meandering or rushing.
If we meander, we come down via Bergerac, Marmande and the direct road (D933 from memory) to Mont de Marsan and on to Dax. This is not a diversion costing lots of extra miles and is a very scenic route.
Bayone is a pain and even if we come via Mont de Marsan, we usually jump onto the Autoroute near to Dax to Irun, and then immediately after the border, turn up the N121a to Pampalona

Lots of alternative routes before Bordeaux or even from Calais. I could go on and on regarding their respective merits. But the OP and others were specifically enquiring about the R10/A63 toll charge, and associated issues.

Good morning, many thanks for all the relavant information, all makes very interesting reading and its fantastic that you can ask a question andyou get so much help, worth every penny of your membership fee.
Have booked the tunnel and we go through at 7-20pm 27th. Jan and return 20th. April.
Decided to follow the A16 Abbeville, A28 Rouen, N154 Chartres and then follow the N10 down to the Spanish border, call in at Behobia for a drop of cheap booze and then up to Burgos and onto the N4 Madrid, Granada, and then Fuengirola, 4 weeks in fuengirola with friends and then off to portugal, wander around Portugal until its time to come home.:wacko::banana:
At some time we will arrive at Sao Martinho for some Black Pig, a real propper blow out, for Marjorie this is one of the high lights of the holiday.
Dont forget that if you see me comming i will be on the other side of the road, give us a wave but not like the ones they are having at Nazare at the moment.
Regards Ken
