Toilet Chemicals

As someone who has seen what happens when folks get this wrong; an impassioned plea! Whatever you use, please make sure that it's septic tank safe. Some laundry detergents (particularly bio ones) 'poison' septic tanks and it takes an expensive pump-out to put it right.
So does the blue stuff sold in camping shops, but bio wash tabs help septic tanks breakdown waste same as it works in the loo.

To be fair, if you wash your laundry with it, it goes into the system anyway.

So unless there's a massive difference between one drain and another, how much does it do?
I use a lot of CL/CS sites and many will tell you not to put grey waste in with the black waste. I have been asked to use grey waste to water fruit trees, put it under the hedges or let it run into an adjacent field. Water is a valuable resource and lightly polluted shower and washing up water has beneficial uses.

Have I missed it or has nobody mentioned a sog system. Does the motorhome have one fitted¿
Not used chemicals for donkeys years
We have a SOG system and three toilet casettes. One of them lacks a SOG fitting, so we do have a good view of what difference SOG makes.
Yes, it does make a difference, but the amount of toilet smell in the loo is very small even without it.
The difference is such that we use the SOGless cassette only when the other two are full (which means 10 to 12 days since last emptying). It isn't enough to justify the cost of buying the overpriced SOG filling for the third cassette.
We only use Lidl laundry fluid.

Thetford do their own system (though I have the other one) for certain types of cassette.
Though if you are not planning to keep the motorhome it won't be worth it cost wise.
Just buy the alternative items already mentioned.
