To poo or not to poo

I intend fitting one of these...

As soon as I can work out how the damn Thetford comes out...

Used with wooden pellet cat litter and compostable bags...
That can be disposed of in dog poo bins OR double bagged into waste bins...

It should prove to be easier to deal with when Wilding and a lot more pleasant to use...
As well as saving quite a surprising amount of water flushing wise.
This is a very neat version of the old one we have. Maybe time for an upgrade

I'm impressed by the neat lines and simple functionality of it...

Price seems reasonable too compared to some other options...

Just need to spend some time to figure how our existing Thetford cassette is fitted to the shower tray 'plinth'
General consensus is the trim panel lifts off and then it lifts off....

But had a couple of half baked attempts with no joy yet.

We are contemplating this. Might someone have any experience of the system.

I wonder if anyone does a conversion kit so the Thetford stays in, I bet that would sell well.
Difficulty would be the small hole from pan to the cassette bit....

I think the thetford SHOULD just leave a raised plinth of the shwer tray that the simploo should pretty much fix to...

Obviously won't swivel (unless I figure something out to make it do so)
BUT I don't think fixed would be an issue...

Just need to check my short fat hairy legs don't just dangle....

One thing bothers me, do you know what they do with the contents of the dog poo bins?? I don't so wouldn't put mine in there.
Be very careful about home composting because a lot of problems can be passed on especially if you then put the compost on your potatoes!! ( no, not directly the ones on your plate)
I really don't think you should put a bag of poo in an ordinary waste bin think about the recycling plant.
Best thing is to tip it straight into the river like southern water??

Ok so why not?
I think it's a bit overpriced and doesn't really do much, and unless you change the filter regularly it does even less, also it's not a DIY job unless you are really handy, there is no getting away from the smell when you are emptying so I think it's easier to either get used to it or use something in the cassette.

More often than not dog poo goes in general waste bins

Oh! Thought it was just us using doggy bags. Our van has a nice fitted thetford, but after years of emptying the darn thing, once we found some where ok, we hit upon the idea of using a 1kg yoggi pot in the bowl with a perfumed doggy bag in it. Can't really trust this set up for number ones, so we use a stash of suitable bottles securly stored. And yes girls can do it too, peewees work a treat. Keep some suitable disinfectant in a spray bottle handy, we use the pink stuff. If in one place for a while where you can't mt the bottles, the more the have the better. We have a very good extractor fan in the bathroom, pretty much essential.
