I have just had an internet conversation with customer support at the Three Network, who tried to sell me a monthly contract data sim for my TP Link M5350 wifi Router.
I told him I don't want a contract, I want a PAYG 'Feel at Home' Sim Card for my wifi router. He said that I was not able to buy a PAYG data sim for a mifi or wifi router as you can't tether with this sim. I told him I want to use it in the UK and France and that feel at home was my preference. He said it's impossible and tried to sell me a contract.
I told him that there is discussion about this service on various forums and people are using Three PAYG data sims right now doing what you say they can't do. His answer was 'don't believe what people say on forums, I work for Three and I'm telling you it's not possible'. The call ended.
So my question is - is anyone using any kind of mobile wifi router with a Three PAYG 'Feel at Home' Data Sim and connecting to the internet via an iPad?
If so, can I use it to access the internet in the UK and abroad (in the qualifying countries)?
I only need data usage.
Where do you buy the Feel at Home Sim? On the Three website it says Feel at Home is an additional service so how do you add it to your sim?
