This years Epic Summer trip

Come with me on a ride through Salcombe terrorising tourists on the Honda Biff Chariot! :D

Lovely down in Salcombe again today. Listened to a girl playing guitar and singing for a while. More "Nashville" type stuff but pretty good.

I forgot when we got back just now I filmed the ride the other day from Batson Creek through Salcombe and along the front to north and south sands. Love pootling along through there. Ideal scooter territory. :D

Few pics from this afternoon and early evening. West side this time around Hope Cove again. Still a bit choppy that side but the wind has dropped a lot now.

Dilemma time now. Not sure if we should go up to Polperro / Looe area tomorrow afternoon until Friday when we have to move to North Devon or to stay here until Friday morning. Neither of us feel ready to move but it would be nice to see somewhere we have not been for many years.

Wear ear plugs next time Barry. That is some noise the wind makes when it enters one ear and leaves through the other >> 👂 >>> 👂>>>

So it looks like Cornwall lost. Staying here until Friday now. Back at South Milton on the farm CL after three nights riding out the storm on hookup and a manicured lawn. :D Bit of a hangover this morning which wasn't great as yet again I had a bit of work to do. Don't these people realise I am retired? :D

Still got Covid Ebola but I think its on its way out. The Grumbleweed blonde from France sorted it last night I think. Not doing much as I might be needed again. Done some serious invoicing of late. :D, might have a ride to Bantham. Michelle thinks she is getting my lurgy.

There is actually a distant sea view from here. :D

Some rows going on about that boathouse at the moment Barry. The owner wants to develop it as a holiday let but there's a lot of local opposition apparently.

Bit more on the boathouse mentioned by Rob yesterday. Its a lovely spot down there and just spent half an hour down there and on the River Avon. So quiet and peaceful. Only us there. It would appear the owner, an old Etonian pal of David Camerons sold the entire estate which also includes 21 properties, a golf course and all the beach front earlier this year. Sounds like the locals objected to most of his plans so perhaps he was universally disliked.

The building does apparently need nearly half a million in repairs though but its a cracking building and a lovely spot down there.

Could be out of the frying pan into the fire though.

Imagine living there Barry - the stuffs dreams are made of!

Yeah it would be a fabulous house. Boat right outside. However as with all these fabulous places down here it would only be fabulous of you could cut it off from the tourists and as its a well used little harbour / boat launch area there is usually people around. Not today though. You would have to pick your house carefully down here I reckon. There are some absolutely outstanding properties we have found raking around on the bike down the lanes though. I would have to have a boat in Salcombe Harbour though if I lived here. Disappointed I've not had the Kayak out though. Just never worked out and of course I had Covid Ebola.
