This years Epic Summer trip

Was the large chip van still there, was parked next to the steps that take you up to the old church?

As for municipal site, for future reference, through the woods behind the water treatment plant. Large plots and private.

There was some massive tatty looking trailer TV thing at the back further along but no chip van sadly :D

Thank you for that.

That's a disappointment but good to know.
I was incorrect Jo, vet is still there, but operates only on certain days eg, 2 days a week due to staff shortage. We went to their sister practice, which was a short drive from M-sur-Seine, I’ll post up the town when Bea returns home.

Sorry about that, but you know vet no longer five days a week at this this time.

Apologies too, Barry, for clogging your thread.

Final update re: Vet. As mentioned above, earlier this year we found the vet surgery only operates on certain days. We were directed to their sister surgery at Bourg-Achard. Large car park for MH's. See link below.

Not a bad day so far although the sun that was forecast has not made much of an appearance. Michelle walked five miles along the cliffs to Cap Griz Nez and I met her at the Cap. Managed to get a rake around myself. Still very grey but a bit better than yesterday. I do like it here though. I was never keen on the North eastern coast of France but I do like this area between the two caps around Wissant. It reminds me of my RYA Skippers exams in the mid 90s as a lot of the plotting work was done around here. :D

Moved on just a few miles to the private farm Aire at Tardinghen. We have never stayed here before. I remember taking a look at it about 15+ years ago and it just looked like a farm yard so we turned around but its bloody lovely now. Four areas to park up. Some bays near the road with hookup, some grassy bits with hookup, hard standing around the farm yard and then a huge field nicely mown further down beyond the farm. We are completely surrounded by fields and views here. Only one neighbour so far but he is so far away I Can't see him. After moaning all summer about vans being too close this is some kind of poetic justice I feel for our last few nights. If however Johnny foreigner turns up and comes within fifty metres of my van I won't be responsible for my actions.

Off out to see if we can find anywhere still serving Lunch shortly but I think that might be a tall order here.

Last year while parked up at Griz Nez, coastguard were trialing a helicopter drone, it was a fair size.

You should have sold your canoe there Barry, you would get top dollar for it 🤭

Is that ferme de L'horlogie Barry, or the clock as we call it ........ not been for a couple of years, he's obviously expanded again.
