Thetford N4000 Fridge

Hi,we are having trouble with our fridge when it's on gas,it lights and a short while later it goes out with a puff then re ignites then the same again, anyone else had this problem or knows how to rectify it.

How do you know it lights? (haveyou checked the flame?)

Have you cleaned the flue?

Do you have a thermocouple and if so is it in the flame?

have you contacted thetford support ?

I can hear it lighting from outside,van is only 9 months old and suppose will have a thermocouple but its incased in a metal jacket and can't access it,I'll try their support,

Had my suspicions about the thermocouple as well,I'll take it to Knowepark on the way home on Monday/Tuesday.

something that is usually mentioned but not here (touched on by r4dent in a way) ... is the van pretty level? If you are on a slope, the flame and thermocouple could effectively end up misaligned.

Yes it level thanks.

A dirty jet will cause the same problem, the flame might not be strong enough to heat the thermocouple
It should be looked at under warranty if it is only 9 months old

Got a phone call from Grant at Knowepark,the van is ready to be picked up,he said they gave it a blast with an airline and hasn't missed a beat since,he thinks there must have been a bit of grit or something like that in there somewhere, all is good again.
Thanks once again for the input.

may have been spiders web, they can cause problems as well i believe
