Thetford C200 CWE toilet. Blows 3a fuse

Anybody any ideas what or why the 3a fuse fitted inside the external door blows? The flush button not flushing.
 
The motor on mine had seized and that was blowing the fuse, take off the small panel off inside the motorhome that includes the blue rubber covered switch.

It is normally just clipped in place but mine had a load of silicon as well which made it a bugger to get out, be gentle but firm :hammer:

Once out you see the motor, i managed to free mine with patience and copious amounts of WD40.

That was 8 years back and it`s still working fine today.

If you need a photo of how it comes off let me know and i`ll put one on later.

I used a Tesco Bleach ( other bleaches are available ) bottle filled with just water to get me home until i had time to sort and fix it.

The spout in just right for flushing around the bowl and i keep an empty bottle in a locker now just in case Tesco Bleach.jpeg

If you`ve removed the cover you`ll be able to see the motor and check to see if it`s seized :hammer:

cover is off but it's not obvious inside how to get to the motor.photo attached

Next remove the inside cover 20190730_122732.jpg

Then use your hand to carefully prise off the fittings out of the clips inside and the pump will lift out 20190730_120902.jpg

Cover is off, seems impossible to see or get at motor. I've tried to attach a photo but can't drag to upload position.
 
Have you taken the inside cover off as well ( 4 screws ) ?

Once you do you should have this view 20190730_120902.jpg the pump is the blue thing at the bottom in the middle.
 
Just fixed mine with a new Thetford C200WE switch from Ebay Thetford C200 Swivel Toilet Electric Flush Switch 23792 Caravan Motorhome Tent | eBay

It came as a complete kit including adhesive heat shrink and full instructions and worth IMHO the £24.94 delivered i paid

When i took mine out to take photos to show the OP how it came apart mine stopped working as well :mad2:

Once out the metal contacts inside disintegrated they were that rotten so no chance of trying to repair.
