David of Wildebus fame fitted a Victron Inverter for us at the end of September 2022 to make use of the Solar Panel/Lithium Battery surplus power, in anticipation of our then planned Winter Trip to Spain, which didn't happen for a plethora of reasons!

The Inverter has been left largely untested, so, in anticipation of the 2023 Season, we experimented last week with a Goulash cooked in the Slow Cooker for about 6 hours and Inverter and Battery coped well, despite a largely overcast day

Today was a 90 minute blast of the Remoska to cook 2 decent sized Jacket Spuds to go with the remains of a Chilli [we would have limited the Remoska to 75 minutes for the Spuds but stopped for a blether whilst out walking, so 90 minutes it was]. The Leisure Battery dropped from 13.2v to 12.8v and the 180w Solar Panel was happily chucking out 142w. I have an Ablemail AMT12-2 [also fitted by David at Wildebus], set to transfer surplus power to the Vehicle Battery for 9 seconds in every 10 seconds, but the Vehicle Battery did drop back to 12.9v whilst the Lithium was feeding the Inverter. Vehicle Battery soon returned to 13.1v and has happily returned to being spoonfed by the Lithium.

Opening the Van Door, after our wee walk, to the aroma of freshly baked Spuds was really rather nice ... (y)

IIRC you also have a Induction Hob? They are really handy, and not the least when stopping to have a break and a cuppa and you leave the gas off when driving. Saves having to go out, gas on, maybe prime the gas?, then out again to turn the gas off again.

Also, ref general inverter use ... I went out in the van today and the batteries were already pretty full so the B2B would have had little to do. Turned on the Electric Water Heater element on the Truma and let the otherwise lazy B2B essentially provide the power

Many folk regard Inverters in Motorhome as the spawn of the Devil, but used appropriately they are an invaluable addition (y)
