I’ve got one of those at home, while I was away last month I really needed to get up to my roof and wished I had it with me. My sole concern about keeping it with me is the amount of space it takes up. Ideally I’d like to be pointed to a more suitable 3 piece style of ladder.

I have a telescopic ladder like that and have used that to get onto Motorhome roofs ok :)

For people considering any ladders the compliance level you want is EN131, a circular saw can remove all your fingers on one hand but a failed ladder can leave you in a wheelchair
And so can putting out the rubbish, that’s how I broke my back last time!

I have one at 3.8M which would get me up on the roof (2.98M) easy enough. I use 28mm pipe lagging on the strings and top rung to help with not marking the moho.
Have found they move sideways very, very easily if not bolt upright and could quite easily slide away from under you if overstretching, something to be wary of.

Tipping back on a chair as well (chap on my Forum is disabled and on permanent pain killer implants after doing that :( ).
Always take care whatever the certs are (y)

Your post did prompt me to check what certification my own ladder has.
I have this one - https://amzn.to/2ThzUdW

It is "For Domestic and Light Commercial use, built to GPSD & EN131-1, EN131-2, EN131-3, EN131-6 standards" so would meet the specs I guess. I have found it pretty good (and I am not keen on heights - and 3 Metres to me is a height nowadays!)

I have one of those from Aldi, gets me on the roof no problem.
I did trim the bottom bar a bit to make storing under a seat easier.

Sure it can reach the roof level but quite handy to have about a metre extra above for extra stability of getting on and off, but purely the individuals choice if they wish to add extra risk!

no risk. plenty of stability. What was it someone said somewhere? .... "one scenario does not fit all!" ?

Can’t afford the payload or space. I have a set at home, and still go for my two piece ladder when required.

I too bought a set of these from Aldi last year. They are brilliant for around the house and for when doing jobs on the MH at home. However I found them a bit heavy to be carrying in the MH. I have a two piece lightweight aluminium ladder that I take with us to some events etc and it works really well when a length of wood is used under the legs to stop them sinking into the grass!
