Being a learner at techie stuff i was right proud when i managed to get sky go on my ipad mini, and then bought a wire to link said ipad to the tv in the motorhome, i thought here we go i downloaded ten films and thought be nice to watch these whilst in france when the suns gone down, the ipad wire links into the hdmi plug on tv, this is ok when on wifi and watching the news etc but when you try to play a film a caption comes up on the screen right in the middle so you cant look around it saying this app does not support sky go downloads even though the film is playing behind this caption, it works perfect on the ipad,
is it that sky go dont want me to relay the film onto a larger screen ie only for personal use, and is there anyway round it.

No.

All external screen outputs are blocked on Sky Go. So you can only watch on the device.

Otherwise "naughty people" would send it to a large screen TV or even a projector or indeed a pub would show films !
Frustrating 4U maybe get a full size ipad for this ?

Thanks Bluetooth still worked so we put the sound through a jawbone jambox and Janet and I got very close to watch the small screen, I'm not complaining
