Tax for a £1 is real.

Was just talking to someone this morning with the same van as mine. He just done his rd tax yesterday £1 for the year ever. Equivalent to just over a tank of fuel but I’ll take that.
Interesting.
When I tried to retax mine (by cancelling the DD) it was still officially taxed until April 27, so I wonder if that is why I didn't see a different rate? Need to do a proper SORN to cancel the tax and try again I think?

You gonna give it a go yourself, Wully?

On another thread elsewhere just one person has managed to tax their motorhome for £1. It seems I think their vehicle was registered as HGV rather the PHGV which suggests it is in the wrong class. The £1 tax is not for motorhomes officially.

If someone wants a £0 tax camper van, my neighbour has a VW camper that has just turned 40 years old and is in the process of being re registered as a historic vehicle. When that is complete it will be £0 road tax and MOT exempt, and probably cheap classic car insurance.

Once the re registration is complete they will be selling it.
