Taps and water system

We recently installed a new water system in my van. It is a pressurised system but the taps I have fitted are microswitch which are not required so not wired in.

When we installed the taps and tried the system out they leak quite heavily from the bottom of the tap just above where the hose spigots are. It would seem that something inside the tap itself is failing.

The taps are Reich Samba mixer taps and my question is are these taps suitable for a pressurised system?

Any suggestions welcome.

I've just read that the taps are suitable for pressurised systems.

I probably need to test the tap out of the van so I can get a clear view of where it is leaking. Not easy though as I need to find a suitable spigot to fit to the outside tap.

could be a damaged ''O'' ring on the spigot

I checked those Nigel on both hot and cold. They seem to be sound.

I could put some silicon around the spigots before I put them back into the block. I have to be sure though as the sink sits above the 12v fridge.

looks like it'll have to come out . might be best to take a pipe from the pump so you have the same pressure ,and not risk over pressure .

I just spoke to Jackson's Leisure and was told that it could be the lubricant around the cartridge has dried out. I started dismantling it to have a look but having removed the top lever I cannot get the main barrel undone.

They said that the tap should easily be able to stand the pressure as it can take up to 6 bar so I think I will just order a new tap, they're cheap enough.

Also just discovered that my taps are not in fact Reich but Smev which will only handle up to 3 bar so I will order the Reich ones.

One other thing is that all of my water hoses are 12mm and the taps fitting instructions stipulate a 10mm hose. The 12mm fit on the spigots but not tightly but seem to make a good seal with the 12mm hose and suitably tightened jubilee clips. Is this ok or do I need to get some sort of reducer?
