Tap question

The tap in the habitation area only comes out at a trickle. (its only just started doing it) I put a new tap here a few months ago. Whereas the one in the sink in the shower room, and the shower itself comes out with a good force, so I doubt its the pump, or is it? and if so why does it work in the shower room? I was wondering if its an airlock maybe? if so how do I get the air out?

More than likely to be a blockage does your water system have a filter on it usually between the tank and the pump

Kink in a pipe or one that has got crushed behind a unit. If a pipe gets a kink in it it will certainly reduce the water flow.

If you have taps with micro switches turn one on that works so water is just coming out then turn the faulty tap on. If the flow is better then could just be a switch problem.

Simple things first a lot of taps have a filter of fine mesh covering the spout remove and problem solved perhaps worked countless times on statics I worked on ,

THe filters furr up with limescale and prevent smoothflow of water

I noticed on the pump itself that it has a built in see through filter, with little black bits floating around it on the mesh side before it goes into the pump, I'm not sure if I can get to it, as it looks like a sealed unit. but I could be wrong.

Its a tap I put on last year that has only been used a few times. its a single spout tap that when you turn the handle one way, hot water comes out, the other way the cold. how would I be able to get to the mesh to remove it?, as I cant see it, would it mean taking the tap apart to check it? I dont think it has micro switches on it.

Turn the tap on, stick your gob around it and suck like whatsit.
If that doesn't increase flow something must be blocking it. There will be a tee joint in the feed pipe somewhere you need to follow it from that joint looking for kinks or blockages.

Im glad you said turn the tap on first! Ok I'll try that. I did find that filter at the end of the tap the other guy was talking about, I levered it out with a key (both of them) they were clean. Guess I'll have to check for blockages and kinks then. Thanks all
