SWITZERLAND & AUSTRIA OFF BEATEN TRACK SUGESTIONS

i am traveling in a small camper van solo - and hope to learn about locations to stay for a few nights - then move on - i am most interested in scenery and privacy - are there any suggestions of unique places in either switzerland or austria that somebody might have camped at in mini van that you would suggest?

https://www.camping-linz.at/ is a commercial site but is next to a lake which is available for swimming.

We loved it and it might be suitable for a change from wilding.

S4S has many sites in both countries.

Not sure that we have any POIs in Switzerland or Austria.

When we last went to Austria I joined an Austrian motorhome forum. Lot of years ago now. They were quite helpful. Austria had some half decent stellplatz / Aires, Switzerland not so much and wilding wasnt so easy but probably would be in a small camper van. I would focus on what you want to see and where you want to go rather than where to stay first. Both countries are stunning.

If looking at aires/Stellplatz rather than wilding, CCI has good coverage of aires in Switzerland and reasonable coverage of Stellplatz in Austria. IIRC, @Pudsey Bear found a few places to stop overnight in Switzerland, so hopefully he will be submitting them in our Location App.
