Swift Suntor Water Leak

Swift suntor 2008 590RL

I'm posting on behalf of a friend who doesn't have internet access at the moment so any info I have may be a little vague.

The problem he has just began in the last couple of days. The floor area behind the cab and near to the shower/toilet area is soaking. I don't mean damp I mean absolutely sodden. It was mopped up once but came back after using the pump. The pump was switched on but only a dribble of water came out of the taps. Soon after the floor was again sodden.
It may relate to the hard freeze we had over the weekend. It was minus 12 in this area of the country.

So the question is... Where can the water be coming from as it appears to only happen after the pump has been activated?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

On my old Laika it was the clear plastic filter bowl that split and I thought Oh no a new pump but went to a dealer in spain and said part was 4 euro`s

Yes the pump does appear to be working which is why (we think) that the floor became so wet soon after it had been switched on despite it having been mopped up previously.

This happened to me last year you may just find the pipe has blown off the pump due to the heavy frost we have just had fill with water take seats out and turn water back on to see we're the water is coming from

Many thanks for posting this for me Graham, much appreciated.

Unfortunately I have been too ill the last couple of days with a chest infection to crawl under the MH to check it out. I Wild camp full time and this has been an absolute nightmare for me while I'm so ill.
To add to it all, last night I had a fever that left me soaked in sweat so my bedding is now damp as well !!

This weekend Graham (Jimmydee) has offered to crawl underneath to try and locate the problem. We are also going to connect up an electric humidifier for a few hours.

I put the pump on for about a minute and needed eight kitchen rolls to soak up the puddle !!
 
I believe that there is a Swift owners forum. Mr google will confirm it. :D
 
It would be a good idea to have a look behind the toilet vanity unit, there could be failed water pipe connection that leads up to the tap.or there could be a similar problem with the toilet itself. The leak needs to be located asap or the floor area in the toilet, under the shower tray and behind the drivers seat will become very soggy and will need replacing. It could also result in the shower tray cracking through lack of support.
 
Just to add, a friend with a similar Swift has just had her floor section replaced from behind the drivers seat to beyond the toilet wall and also the shower tray as well. She had complained of a bad smell and had been mopping water up for some time so I put some overalls on and went underneath with a blunt screwdriver and found that the floor in the toilet area was as soft as a sponge, why she hadn't put her foot through it I don't know. It was a very expensive job to do and the replacement shower tray was made from fibreglass by a company in Catforth near Preston.
 
Do you have hot water? and what system is in?, reason why i ask is that this happened to me last year, and found that the tie rod that holds the water tank on to the heat exchanger had snapped off, hence breaking the seal around the tank, its worth a look because the pump still works, and you still get water coming through but not hot, does this make sense?
 
This morning I wasn't in so much pain, so managed to roll the carpet out of the way to have a better look.
Armed with a big handfull of kitchen roll I turned the pump on for a few second to see where the water was coming from.
It was coming from under the shower room wall, so I guess the next stage is to dismantle the shower room vanity unit.

I will update this threat on Monday to let you know how we got on.
