Swift Bolero Fresh Water Heater

With the cold snap creeping up thought I would look into how to stop the fresh water tank freezing on our '07 swift bolero 630pr.
Reading through the manual it states that the fresh water tank heater cuts in if the tank is 1/4 full or over & the main panel is switched on,
however I see that newer boleros have an optional winter pack that includes the heater & swift tell me there is no such pack available for the '07 model.I can see electrical connections joined to the top of the tank but I think that seems to feed the level indicator probe.
Hoping someone can enlighten me as I want to carry on using the van during the winter without waking up to an ice pack under the van.

If your batteries are up to it I would fit trace heating with a thermostat to heat the system and prevent freezing ...

Unless you have a very large house battery and very well insulated tanks, don't be tempted to install any sort of 12V heater running off the house battery.

Depending on what sort of house heater you have installed, you might be able to extend a hot air duct through the floor to blow hot air into the space between the insulation and the tank.
