Swift 2004 Kontiki 645 Shower Leak Problem

Hi All,

Fools mistake !! I went away for winter and did not drain down water resultin in switched pump on for first time an water poured out from behind shower wall. So assume a pipe on shower has been frozen and pushed out all fittings are plastic blue push in type. I have attached some pictures of the shower cabinet but am unable to confirm is this a one piece unit? or a 3 piece unit i.e. top bottom and wall looks like there is a bonding joint line but does not look like silicone bead. Can any one throw some light on this before I start trying to pull this apart to get at pipe.

Also small leak were input pipe joins filter to sure pump. Never rains but it pours even inside. you have got to laugh!!

I've got the E745 which looks like the same shower. On mine there is a "hatch" about midway up the wooden wall outside the shower cubicle. Mine is on the right as you look at it . From memory it only has one retaining screw. If nothing else this might let you refit pipe, it certainly looks like an inspection hatch. Again from memory mine looks like a one piece unit , will try to go to storage and have another look.

Made an eccuse to go up to van today . This is what I tried to describe last night . Hope it helps.

Hi John,
Thanks for reply I have had a look on line at your E745 Bessacar the shower looks the same but I don't have a wall as you describe with a hatch that would have been great but such is life.

I have emailed Swift regarding my Kontiki 645 to try and get a schematic of shower still waiting! I will give you an update once I get some further information likewise let me know if you find anything out when you next visit your E745.

Sooner I am sorted then off we go again.

Have a good look at the walls around the shower, both my previous MH had service hatches behind them.

Many thanks for your information you were spot on with I got the email from Swift below:

"To access the tap pipe joints and fittings there is an access panel to the right hand side of the washroom behind the concertina room divider. I have attached an image of the layout showing which bulkhead and an image of the bulkhead showing the detail of the access hatch. You would need to pull the concertina door out and then release the screws holding it to the wall. It should then slide out of the way so you can get at the access panel. There may be a false panel to remove and then you should be able to access the back of the shower cubicle and the tap fittings/pipes. The shower cubicle itself is bonded together in one piece and so not easily removable without damaging it."

So I am well on my way to getting sorted.

Looks like you got a quick response which hopefully helps. On my van I can get my hand in which I think would allow reconnection of pipes.
Since taking the photos for you I have found a slight leak in my water pump , which I think I can reseal , will find out next week. Van fully drained . Was going to take pump out , but the van is in indoor storage which is very dull during the day , will bring van home next week . Hoping to go away to Callander for a couple of nights , so repair or renewal needs to be done SOON.
Hope you get an easy , but more importantly, an inexpensive fix for yours.
