NEW NEW SUPERCHARGER 95 AMP 12 VOLT BATTERY CHARGER MOTORHOME BOAT NARROW BOAT

Thanks fairy tooth I tried posting link but
iPhone app didn't like it

Seems a bit pricy for something that's not much different to running your engine to recharge your leisure battery.

Not exactly correct as once your engine alternator has charged the starter battery it shuts down to a low current and would take ages to charge leisure batteries.

For a self contained battery charger priced at over £650 for what is a cheap two stroke engine with a vehicle alternator attached it is a bit expensive.

For that money you could get a couple of 100w solar panels, a good quality dual battery solar controller with remote meter and a couple of 110ah leisure batteries plus a couple of tubes of sikaflex to stick them on. Much quieter and won't need refuelling.

Unless the maximum charge current is adjustable, I would be a bit concerned if it was charging only a couple of normal batteries

seems a lot of money for what is effectively a lawnmower engine and a car alternator.... and summit youll use once in a blue moon.

It is just a vehicle alternator and it will charge at a current dictated by the state of the batteries. Low battery will be a high current reducing as battery gains charge.

The very last line in that link (after all the hassle of building & mounting it - he says, it doesn't get used much now that they have the Solar panels set up! Hilarious!

Agreed! I have my solar panel and 2 x 110ah batteries and never ran out of power yet.
