A post to say thanks to Stu2 and his wonderful wild camping spot just outside of Chollerford. Its very easy to find the field as Stu sent us the post code and what three words code. Gate was on the left and my 6 mtr motorhome easily fitted through the chained gate. Stu sends the code to gain entry. The field is very large and flat, very firm to drive over and surrounded by a large hedge for extra privacy so no one can see you from the road. 3 motorhome max so loads of space. Parked up near the trees with the beautiful North Tyne flowing only a few metres away. A lovely 1.5 mile walk along the footpath to The George Hotel, 2 miles to The Crown. Theres a lovely spot to sit near the river posted in pic three. Not sure what its like after a lot of rain in mid winter for bigger heavy motorhome but im sure Stu can advise. Otherwise its a definite return for me. Even the roads were nice and smooth unlike the third world cart tracks we have in Durham. And the cost is very very cheap! Yep, a beautiful secure wild spot.
