Storage near Maidenhead?

Hi All,

Having just recently purchased a 34' American RV, we are now looking for somewhere to park it up / store it near Maidenhead and reluctant to leave it on the side of the road out of sight of the homestead....

Local caravan and campgrounds all seem to be closing for the winter pretty soon and although we are heading off to the Alps in 6 weeks, we need somewhere to park it up and do a few bits and bobs on it before we go.

Does anyone know of anywhere local(ish) where we can lock the van (or the 'Beast' as she is becoming affectionatly known) or have a drive / field / barn that we can borrow for a wee while? I've tried the local stables and farms but without any luck.

Would love to hear from you if you have any thoughts or ideas -

Try the CaSSOA (Caravan Storage Site Owners Association) website Caravan Storage Site Owners' Association - Secure Caravan Storage search

It is not just somewhere to park. It is knowing that your MH is safe while out of your sight.

My insurance demands that, if my MH is left on a site other than a Caravan Site while touring or on my drive. that there is CCTV and 24 hour attendant.

Access hours

Hi,
Thanks for that info John. We popped down there the other night but they have pretty limited access hours which was not ideal since we need to do some work on the waggon on the evenings and weekends between now and December. Still, it is an option that we may just have to take up if we can't find anywhere else.

Still open to any other suggestions if anyone has any?

Kind regards,
Corinne

Have you tried Southern Motorhome Centre on the A4 at Taplow. They have a pretty big yard with security etc? Guess it may cost but worth a go......

Yers - thanks burpysmurf.... the motorhome dealers down the road would only let us leave our van there if we bought it off them in the first place  which we didn't.

Still looking:)
