Stop near Hook of Holland?

Hi Novice euro tripper soon to set off via Harwich to Hook ferry. Please can anyone confirm that:-
1) Marine Parade, Harwich is still possible for overnight and
2) suggest a safe stop about an hour or two drive on the way south through Holland towards Germany.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated

Hi Mossystone,

We traveled last year on a morning crossing and you can stay the night before to the left hand side of the terminal by the Fence before the entrance gates but inside the terminal just speak to one of the staff,there is also a small room with seats a couple of vending machines and toilets.
We Had a good night with no problems.We also took a cabin on the way back for about 20 euros very clean hot showers and a tv.

I did the same , you dont say where you are heading but Dusseldorf is 2 hours away and you can park at the side of the Rhine and just a short walk in the centre. You take a ticket on the way in and there is a paystation nearby for exit. 12euros for 24hours ,no services here (one of those pay toilets closeby) but there are services signposted closeby but i didnt need them , think it will be the Messe which is where they hold the motorhome show.
