Foul weather warning from the local public notification authority.
Basically it's going to be windy and wet, for the next few days.
A North Atlantic cold front will make life unpleasant north of a line between Lisbon and Benidorm.. ish.
Avoid high ground and exposure to the N.W. gusts.
I can offer no guarantee to the forecast.
I have a large pinch of salt, to hand.
But, do watch out, they aren't always wrong..
Take care.

Thanks Paul , heading off to Italy today ,currently in castellion and trying to decide if to wait a few days and let it pass or push on through?

Very true.
We've already had 15,000 mm/m² since February.
The neighbours tell me they need more.
Depending where you are, in the Algarve, it should be warmish rain if it comes.

15,000mm? so 15M = nearly 2,000 inches of rain? that sounds rather a lot, no?

Foul weather warning for everything north of Lisbon and right across SW Europe.

It was snowing last night, up north, and cool enough to make us pull the heaters out of storage.
Thursday, we bought new summer bedding and put it on.
All winter coats and jumpers put in the loft.
Awoke to glorious sunshine and sunbathed on the bed.

1 hour later a big black cloud mass arrived. .20 mins of good honest rain.

Back to blue sky and sunshine.
But there's a sharp NW wind around.
The local forecast states " 16 degrees, no chance of rain and mild Western breezes."

Oops !
My apologies.
Senior moment?

My mistake in not checking.
They say that nothing is too important..
Except when typing in big numbers.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Actually, my conversion was wrong as well! I just read what I wrote and thought "15M = 2,000 inches???" should be more like 600 inches (still a lot :) ).
(I blame a dyslexic Alexa .... 2,000 inches is 51M, not 15M :D )

6 degrees, NW wind.
Walked 200 metres into it.
Could feel the family jewels. Turning to ice..
10 minutes in front of a fan heater, may save the day.
