spaghetti question

i once had perfectly cooked , but totally dry spaghetti . loved it ,but never managed to reproduce it .anyone know how it's done ?

I'm sure I saw a chef do this once by cooking the Spaghetti as normal, then chucking it in a frying pan with some other ingredients and dry frying it.

I can't remember the recipe though and it was a long time ago.
