Southwold to ban motorhomes

Thanks Walkers. I have emailed Graham.

What I cannot understand is why we would loose members like this  Graham is obviously a fairly committed Wild Camper to start such a scheme and operate a web site, so what went wrong for him not to want to do it here ?

He had a falling out with one or more other members a while back, can't remember what about or who with but indeed he was a very helpful chap

Oh the usual. Why can't folks just agree to disagree and respect others different views? It would be a boring life if we all thought the same.

he was a valued member , but a couple of times i think he upset some one and they had a go at him and he left . he was a person who would help all he could but spoke his mind, some dont like this as one or two of us have found out in the past. but then this is a site where you are free to aire your views as long as we dont get personal.

true we all upset someone at times i have, but as you say agree to disagree that is what makes us individuals as long as we dont get personal.

This is "insert link" then "delete link", insert email link, insert image and then (roll of drums) Wrap quote tags around selected text
So we click that and get
The we can go and cut and paste to get

The problems with places like Aldbrough and Southwold is that they are both pleasant and picturesque: Because of this, people who have very considerable sums of money like to have third or fourth homes there.
As long as the local peasants keep tugging their forelocks to them they will be allowed to live there.
The point is that ultimately, because of the influx of money, what they came to enjoy is destroyed
Croyde in North Devon is a good case in point. The average house there is now in excess of £250k. Needless to say, B&Q&Q, Sainsburys and local farms do not pay the level of wages to support a mortgage of that size.
The result is that the place is like a ghost town in the winter. Southwold is the same and Aldbrough is not much better.
The law is: That if you are broken down you have 24 hours to repair the vehicle plus, a further 24 hours in the event that the work takes longer. After which time you must move on or, have the vehicle impounded via the local council. 'Moving on' might mean or, be construed as moving further along the road. However if the vehicle is road legal and the driver is 'incapacitated due to illness' (drousy, tired, due to medication, pain-killers etc) the vehicle must remain stationery as per the WARNING upon the medication container . In the event you have had your ignition keys stolen -- and have sent for a duplicate-set you can remain put. The police have no quarrel with the owner/driver in iether of these regards. So if you lose your keys on a Friday Night, it could be Monday before you could be expected to move-on.
Happy days
