Solar panels

Sorry Nolly, thatis not what I am after.

My last van, an Elddis had an external 12 volt socket, used for filling the fresh water tank with a submersible pump. I know they do exist but cannot find one online.

Where is Peter (John`s Cross M/homes when you need him):D

The nearest I have got is a DIN socket but it is only made for a thinner wall section than a m/home.

No probs, I'll pop pop down the boatyard tomorrow and see if my son knows of anything.
Try googling "Ross Courtney". Good hunting.:)

Thanks for that John,

What is the panel in the middle? Currenty I have a split charge relay to the battery then a feed to my distribution panel.

Th panel in the middle is a charge controller, which prevents the solar panel from over charging the battery, and prevents the battery from discharging through the solar panel through the night. I have a 100 watt solar panel and a 10amp charge controller fitted, which I brought off E-bay. I fitted them all myself with no problems.

John.

Hi Donald
There are a few old threads with plenty of good info on fitting and choosing a solar panel setup, one is here but there are plenty more :)

If you type solar panel into the search tool above :)

Does anyone know how long it takes to charge up my leisure battery from empty whilst driving? Its an 85Amp.
