So is this what get locals fired up.

We are getting out of the social habit of talking to each other.

This has been happening gradually over the last few decades.

The virus has just made it even worse.
Everybody seems scared to look at each other most of the time, let alone speak. They all go around looking serious and miserable these days.
Probably because they think the virus is transmittable via a glance. Eek!:ROFLMAO:😜 :devilish:

I'm with Terry. It's 100% how you do it. If you get a negative response that's unfortunate, but the fact we don't say anything to transgressors in the first place is one of the reasons why folk get away with bad behaviour everywhere.

I seriously doubt anyone would murder me for explaining that what they're doing is not a good idea. I can more than handle verbal abuse ;)
Of course you need to weigh up the situation and any likely risk - same as everything else in life - but 9 times out of 10 I'd probably chance it.

Not a good idea over here going to have a word about emptying as you may end up the one emptied, well at least you would be ready for red nose day.

It annoys me that people would rather take pictures and moan about it than go and knock the guys door and educate him on how to use his motorhome.🤬
horses for courses I spose.
Id have had a word and have done in the past, but some people aren't up for being assertive/confrontational/give advice.

I did this myself many moons ago thinking it was harmless and the grass next to my pitch i was leaving was parched. (after all I regularly tip my bowl water out on the grass or bushes if its clean enough and doesnt affect anyone but me.) Then I seen the few sweetcorn bits that had washed down the sink as I pulled off and have never been back to see if the site was a field full of corn on the cob nowadays . :p

I wouldn't have posted.

Would have just gone and had a word in the driver's shell-like and taken it from there.

It's obviously a hire vehicle, so odds on they were newbies?

I'd have found out for definite first, then educated accordingly... which would have required very different approaches, depending on their level of past experience with camper vans... ;) 😇 :devilish:
Would you explain to him about the hole in the bucket trick .???

Its OK giving them a knock to educate them. I agree its a good idea. The only problem is that to many people jump on the defence and start throwing abuse and often would rather tell you to f-off and mind ya own business. So another reason people don't like to nor want to set a situation off like that..
I think that depends on the tone used.

Talking, yes..
Start with Hello how RU etc
Where are you from etc etc
How many trips how do you get on with finding places (we know the likely ones but conversation)
Then..
Hope you do not mind not mind me saying you might take a bit more care......
Finally enjoy your trip !
