Sleeping in a car or motorhome

As i said many times on here that i had a mate and a uncle done for in charge of a car, one was asleep my uncle had the keys in pocket when drunk and got done in bangor town some 50 years back, dont do it.
Normal sleeping is ok as he said.

Yeh, we know Trev, you keep mentioning it but it was fifty fekin years ago, let it go mate and move on or get some therapy

Unless you are sat in the drivers seat with the engine running ...
The police wouldn't even try for a conviction as its so rare ...
Parked in your campervan/motorhome with it in 'parked' mode ...
Seats swivelled
TV on
Keys in safe inaccessible place
Steering lock on
Engine off
Cooker lid up etc etc etc

It's just never going to be an issue

I've had it chapter and verse from a couple of traffic cops that I know ...
And even had direct experience of someone I know parked up sleeping in their car pis*ed ....
Police that found him said they had no intention of pursuing a Drunk in charge because there was no point as he was asleep in the passenger seat without the keys so impossible to show,he was,intendibgc
