Which do you prefer? My vote goes to a Duvet so I can stick my toes out when I'm warm.

I prefer a duvet, but for ease of storage I only carry a sleeping bag, a nice big double one

Definitely Duvets, one to lie on and one covering us, heaven, Duck Down of course.:lol-053:

Duvet always.

This time of year 4.5 TOG, in summer just the cover if that!!

Douvet accept when its hot in summer then a single cotton sheet, or nothing!

I am very tempted to give this one miss, but as I enjoy a good insult I shall carry on.

During a trip thought China many years ago we went to a silk factory & had a hands on experience of expanding the silk fibres from the original small acorn shape until they stretched over the loom.
We bought two queen size duvets, before we left which Madam puts into a King size duvet cover. This is warm lightweight & folds up very small.

Any insults about roughing while on the road travelling happily accepted.

Dezi :pc:

words of advice never dive head first onto a bed with silk sheets if there isnt at least your body length between bed and wall
were duvet people nowdays

The Chinese make the best Duvets in the world methinks.

I had a quite thin duvet in China, -20 at night and minimal heating in my apartment. The first night, I went to bed expecting to shiver all night. I was as warm as toast.
The Chinese also make excellent beer but not much else sadly.

Duvet at home (single cos I hate changing double and king size double duvet covers with a passion), down sleeping bag with fleece liner in winter, and a cheap sleeping bag in summer in the van.

The Chinese would be still in Paddy fields without Western joint ventures and expertise.

They are also excellent at copying ................... once they have the equipment.

I worked on Printing Presses in China that were Chinese copies of Japanese Presses, which in turn were Japanese copies of British Printing Presses.

If you needed a part, you had to make it.:rolleyes2:

Sleeping bags are for tents. My van has a bed so I use duvets (one each)...

Used a duvet in a tent for years :D. When it's really cold though, -25 sleeping bag + duvet.
Looking forward to sleeping on a decent mattress though. :D

My van is a tent on wheels, no bed, just a sunlounger. I dream that one day I might have a proper bed in it in which case I would treat myself to a proper eiderdown duvet
