Allo peeps,how long does sikaflex take to go off when used for mounting a soler panel,or when would it be safe to drive off?
Ta mucho for any advice givin.
 
If you use activator it would be quicker, downside is it is quite expensive.
 
I think I read somewhere it has a cure rate of 24 hours per 2mm thickness. I left it 24 hours before moving the van a very short distance and another 24 hours for good measure.
 
When I fit panels I recommend 24 hours before moving the van. I now use Sikaflex 512 with activator.
 
I`ve only ever used Sikaflex 512 and try to leave it a good 48 hours before moving, ideally fit friday and don`t move until monday at the earliest :hammer:

I also loosely cover overnight especially if a heavy dew is forecast for the first couple of days :scared:
 
I would make up a separate test sample that you can handle to see if it has cured,

I have been doing that with car fillers, araldite and other glues for years.
