SIKAFLEX ALTERNATIVE?

We had an ingress of water during a really heavy downpour and wind. The water was blown through the small slit vents in the plastic domed cover. Unscrewed it all and gave a good clean. Have had the vent open during a storm before, but nothing came through. Just put it down to wind in the right (or wrong!) direction

I'm wondering if this might be the case with ours, as an initial inspection didn't show up any major flaws in the sealant albeit looked at with a torch in the dark. It was extremely high wind and heavy rain and wonder if it may have blown up and over the inside lip normally covered by the closed clear "lid"? Have to wait til Friday before I can look properly, but we've had "normal" rain since and no ingress of water?

Always use both mastic tape and sikoflex.
