well after days of head scratching ive finally found the fault on my sigma alarm its a faulty door switch the motor home door to be exact i disconnect it and the alarm works ok
the company i bought the van from told me that if i couldent find the fault that they would sort it so hopefully all they need do now is send me a door switch and ill be able to connect it myself and hopefully save my self a 200 mile round trip
as for now its working ok if any one entered through this door the interior sensors will set the alarm off

thanks for all the advice Andrew :)

Sigma M30

I have found that a flat ( less than 11.5 V ) main battery will cause this problem of unexpected alerts on the alarm. I recharge and wait a while after coding the key pad and things work again. No hint of this prospect in the " mannuals".

Where is the back -up alarm battery sited on a VW autosleeper 2003? Also does the motion sensor stop working or can it be completely activated or broken. Ours does not seem to operate at all.
