Shuuuuuush now!

yeah, 3 - 0 to us!
:cool1:
:goodluck:

Wouldn't that be nice instead of making hard work of everything? We have exceeded expectations by coming first in our group. Well done the boys

yeah, it's never easy supporting England. A win is a win and it's great to top the group.
Well done lads:banana:

Good that ENGLAND won, but they still play with the wrong shape ball for me to be interested:rolleyes2::wave:

Just hope the press don't hype them up too much like they did for the last world cup!

Sod the football, I've just been to an excellent lecture at Macclesfield Astronomical Society called "A starry night to remember" detailing the sinking of the Titanic coupled with the astronomical conditions on that fateful night. A REALLY entertaining and informative evening.

I don't believe it, the same game is on telly again, not even Eastenders is repeated twice in the same evening.

But on the plus side, if it wasn't for bloody football on BBC1, I would never have have turned over to discover Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace was just beginning now :D

Each to their own. We all have different interests.

England go into the quarter finals and play Italy on Sunday. Well done so far. Possibility for England to win the title. Bye the way, I am German, and I am not a fan of football. Should I or should I not post. Yeah, why not. Be gentle when you give me stick.☺☺☺

I don't think anybody is going to do that! As I said earlier 'Each to their own' ;)

Every game is a hard one now, so bring it on..

I bought one of them there satellite receiver thingies from aldi...I might have it sussed by sunday.

The Sat finder that comes with it seems a bit heath Robinson..I have downloaded a compass and sat finder for Android the latter seems really good works out where you are to within 25 metres, gives bearing tilt of dish and skew...compass uses camera on phone so you can fix on a roadsign etc to get a good bearing.

All this to lose on penalties or beat ...1 nil..

Tbh this English side seems to have a team spirit I haven't seen for a while.

Leave egos in the car park who knows..

Haha You lost me after the first line! I'm a bit of a technophob when it comes to electronic stuff. If you can't get it going without hitting it with a hammer I'm lost! A bit of a thicko really. After all I do support Southampton ;)

are aldi still selling those??

I asked, and they got one out the back..

To be honest I can't say how good it is, I have built it up but not had time to try and tune it.

I have read that the 35 cm dish it comes with is not much use north of the border...needs to be bigger conversely the same is true on the continent...for the english speaking channels anyway.

Your dish should work fine Channa.

Start off by having the dish pointing horizontally. Aim it towards the east and slowly move it round towards the South. When you are starting to get a bit of signal quality, just tweak it gently. if you are using a Sky digibox, there is a short time lag between moving the dish and the change in quality appearing on the TV screen.

i have a signal strength meter but never use it for the dish (only freeview terrestrial). I put my Sky box to the screen wich shows signal strength and quality and just look through the window or door at it. Sometimes it only takes less than a minute once I have used my £4 compass to find 30 degrees East of Soputh for the general direction.
