I had one of these if the battery goes flat the mileage clock can show that you’ve been to the moon and back also the scuttle pipe from the windscreen can get stuck in the gear lever mechanism and make you think you’ve a big problem when you haven’t,I obviously experienced both of these apart from that it was fine.
The clutch pedal fell off mine while driving. The pivot pin broke from its weld. It was an easy repair with a bolt , a couple of washers and couple of nuts. It was a bit of a surprise bit fortunately the approaching traffic lights stayed in my favour and I was just a couple of miles from home. Worth a visual inspection now and again.
Also t he turbo boost pressure sensor failed. /no power to 2000rpm then away we go. Easy to access . Easy to replace. Also steering UJ seized. Maybe worth lubricating. Apart from that pretty good. Used to eat transits on the motorway!
