Not sure why they had to cancel a flotilla of boats sailing through York though? :boat::boat::boat:

We brought my narrowboat up the Ouse from Barmby Barrage to Selby this morning on a very high Spring Tide in torrential rain. Then from Haddelsey along the flooding Aire as far as Beal, where we are now, before the flow got too much for us. We're now moored against a floating pontoon while the river rises beneath us.
But, if we're spared, I pick up my Hymer on Tuesday! Whoooo hooo!!!

When there are floods, the River Ouse at York goes up so high that boats have trouble getting under the bridges. My husband often can't work when that happens.

Here on Skye it has been a very unusual summer - it has been very dry while every where else has had rain!
