Seitz Sliding Window Leak

Hi
My Seitz sliding window has a slight leak in the top. On close inspection I can see that its coming through between the fixed window pane and the window seal NOT through behind the frame. On the outside there is an aluminium strip that runs the length of the window top and bottom that looks to have been pushed into place. I think if I remove this I will be able to gain access to the top edge of the window and perhaps seal it. Its a bit difficult to explain :)

Does anyone have experience of these windows and in particular can I remove this strip with a little force. I don't want to force it and cause damage that will require a new window.

Hi
I have just replaced the slide window pane in mine.
And mine was leaking from the top.
There are four clips you need to be gentle and prise the clip and the top bar.
They will come apart. What i found with mine was when i replaced the pane two of the clips had not located properly hence the leak.
Once they where in place leak stopped.
Hope this is of some help to you.:)

Brian.
