Scarborough Town Council has written to the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire to express its strongest possible objection to the proposed introduction of a tourist tax.

Surely this is good news isn't it or am I missing something?

We were there a few weeks ago and I won't be popular for saying this but the sea front did look better without the hordes of motorhomes filling it.

I never go there either, but I thought it could only improve things.

Don't know about Scarborough but never thought the odd camper in the massive , mostly empty , carpark in Whitby was too unsightly .
Used to stop there often . Like many don't go near the place now
