Can you still park in the car park overnight by the Sealife Centre Scarborough?

Thank you. We have stayed overnight there before and have always paid to park for the day (was £6).

Stayed there at the last two weekends ,was very very busy
We arrived around two and bought a£7 ticket which carried on till 11am the next morning .was saddened by some folk who don’t think the damage they’re doing to the good name of motorhomers, but to answer your question I do think it’s free as a lot of freeloaders were arriving after 6 and departing prior to 9am to avoid putting money into the community
Just my feelings in this subject

Totally agree

What would hurt to just put a couple of pounds or so in the meter in the morning to help fund their stays as the overnight stop here is safe and mostly troublefree, they are too quick to jump ship and leave just before 9am.We also witnessed this mad exodus at Helmsley recently to avoid paying.

Have-noticed though that some council car parks when paying the money will carry over to the next day when the charging period restarts BUT some council car parks the fee will expire at midnight no matter how much you over pay as clearly states no change given then the next day one has to pay again. That can be annoying.

I sort of agree regarding freeloaders. However there is a bit of a caveat there also.
At this stage of my life as a full-timer I have actually paid to park in that particular spot, and similar places.
When I first started fulltiming some 12 years or so ago, I was also with my partner home educating my son whilst on the road both in the UK and other countries.
At that time I really could not afford to pay such money to park up each night, therefore I would have also tried to just use the parking spot outwith paying hours. Not because I was not wanting to contribute to the local community.
(In fact I would already have contributed by buying food and paying to enter local museums etc.)
More just the fact that my funds were very limited.
So I suppose I am saying if someone was in a hundred grands worth of motorhome, fairly solvent and choosing to be miserly, then fair comment. They deserve the negative attention.
Don't forget, some of those in the car park may just be doing the best they can in their own particular circumstances.😉

I understand fully your views but as you said there were 19 plated vehicles in x’s of 50 grand up which is terrible imho

I seen similar kind of behaviour at the leisure centre car park Stratford upon Avon last year. car park full every night after 6pm and empty before 9am and I did notice through being a nosy barsteward that a few of them were sporting nice big W in the screen did I forget to mention I’m a mixing barsteward as well.😂😜
