Another way to block numbers is to add them to a specific contact (I have one called "Spam Calls") and assign a silent ringtone to them if you don't have a smartphone

Text message got a very rude answer and if we get the are you in an accident then we always are right there and then, how did you know, thank goodness you called, my head is hanging off and there’s blood everywhere. All in a hysterical voice and then the phone goes OFF, them not me.

The answer I normally give is ' yes I had an accident last week, I was driving out of Tesco's car park, I thought it was just a fart but followed through. How much am I owed?'
 
I've had similar, illegal activity on my Internet and if I didn't press 1 I would be arrested. Had the call about 6 times in 10 days. This was a couple of months ago but I'm still here 😁
 
Me too.
And a similar phone call with a recorded message... Most professional and almost convincing, an 0161 number..!
I've even been warned about this by my bank...
 
They can ph me all day long if they wish, but its hard to get blood out of a stone.

It's been happening in America for quite some time only there is the IRS. Same story pay up or else.


The Indian call centres have realised that everyone knows they are not Microsoft anymore so they are now IRS
 
This might be run by that nice Nigerian Prince who wanted me to help him regain his throne. I sent him a link to Wonga, didn’t hear from him again. Hope things worked out for him. He seemed such a nice person.
 
I have had spam emails saying that I have been on porn sites and they installed a key logger, they have taken over my webcam and they have a video of me watching the porn, if I don't pay they will send this to all my contacts.








If you are on my contacts list and you receive a video I was just polishing my belt buckle
 
I don't get many calls now as I have call minder but previously I would leave a whistle near the phone so it was handy.
They don't like it when their ears are ringing for the next few minutes.
 
The one I keep getting is the Amazon prime one that my prime is about to run out and they are going to take £79 out of my account for my subscription if I no longer require AP please press 1
As it happens I don’t have AP but not about to press 1 😂
