Sadly passed away ...

Sue was an amazingly fascinating person, who I found to be truly inspirational. Sad is not the word to describe her passing, she had so much living to do. She had a wonderful gift of making her simple life so rich. She was very genuine and frighteningly intelligent and an absolute delight to spend time with.
May she rest in peace. Sleep tight Sue. Xx

Never met Sue, but she sounds like she was a great character. RIP Sue.
.... Tom ....

Sue was a lovely, gentle person, an inspiration to us and indeed all who met her or read her blog. You will be missed Sue.

So sorry to hear this. I found Sue's blog inspiring. I started reading it not long after she started out on her life on the road and it made me determined to see more of Scotland than I had up to that point. Since then I've had a couple of long trips north of the border.
I was privileged to meet her at Stonehenge.
Rest in peace, lovely lady.

For anybody wondering, her forum name was Dippingatoe.

(I don't think that has been mentioned yet). Some may have read her posts and not realised who we were talking about.

RIP Sue....

Toot that horn loud when you wild camp outside the pearly gates....

I only met Sue once, for lunch together in France. We had a very long lunch then backto her van then she drove me back to mine. We stayed in touch. I was talking to her via Messenger very recently. She said she was in a hospice, was appreciating the wonderful care but didn't expect to leave. She told me not to be sad for her, for she wasn't. All she asked was that I enjoy my travelling for her. RIP Sue. X

Knowing that she came from Herefordshire I wonder if she was in St Michael's Hospice. We raise money for them occasionally as Phill's father spent his last days there & they are fantastic.
