No prob if you use two pack etch for two pack top coat, or mordant wash if using a single pack top coat, me i would leave as is.

I wouldn't bother painting unistrut as it's already galved....
And even after treatment for painting using T wash (basically traffic film remover)
The paint finish will chip off with very little provocation and it'll look worn and crappy.

Spray your cuts with cold zinc spray to prevent rusting.

So now need to put bolts though roof !
Sprinter has pre drilled holes that push out grommets. what size bolts m10, m8 or m12 x 25mm
washers or plates for inside.
Want to hang hammock from anyone or the four ends. Of rails of eyelets
