Roodee, Chester

Just an updated for anyone planning to visit Chester, the Roodee park will be closed from 28th April to 10th May to cater for the annual fair.

It always closes around that time of year when Chester races are on there has been a fun fair on the Little Roodee, It is usually the first weekend in May. The fair used to open on FA cup final day, the women would take us kids to the fair while the 'men' (our dads, older brothers, uncles) would crowd round somebodys telly to watch. In those days Chester only had the one 3 day racing event a year.
Unless you are interested in horse racing it is a good idea to give Chester a miss that week Chester.

Stopped there last year, really handy for the town
