Romahome Duo Plus removable seats

I wonder if someone could solve a problem that has come up. The rear seats of the Duo are removable to create space for the bed - the bed cushions being supported by wooden latts or planks which fit across the seat bases. However, the seats can also be left in and folded down, the cushions then fitting over the seats. However, in this case the front wooden plank cannot be fitted as the bases are not in place. Does something else replace the front plank, or are the cushions sufficiently supported by the folded-down seats? Advice from any Romahome officianados would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Vic

Thanks for the info - I've now put the query on that forum too.

I've just approved it so I'm sure there will be replies soon - once they return from an Easter meet this weekend!

Hi Viv - Yes you can make up a double bed in a Duo Plus

Just to let you know that you can make up a double bed in a Duo Plus. My second hand version R reg came with a long metal bar which fits into two aluminium hangers fitted on side walls just behind front seats. Plus two small shaped 'cushions' shaped to go round the seatbelt posts. The normal cushions move into the centre.
The rear seats, closest to back door. Here I have two rectangular support rails that go across gap and the two cushions move into the centre. Then the back cushions fill up the gap.

New photos showing more stages of making up the bed, would make it easier to understand what the aluminium piece(or pieces) that I have not but never been fitted are for and making the double bed again would refresh my memory. If can remember if they were fitted then the front cushions would be fully supported, rather than just wedged.

Hope these comments are of help.

Richard
