Back in the day three point static or inertia belts could be bought with all the fittings to fit to vans without mountings.Hi I have a Renault traffic and want to fit rear seat belt to my rock and roll bed. Any help would be welcome. Thanks for looking.
You drilled thru the floor and used a reinforcing plates sandwich for strength, for the pillars the same bit you needed access of course.
Now i'm thinking that may not be up to spec these days.. My rapido campervan had a a massive ott heavy steel framework to take all the mountings for two belts - not a RR seat. Must weigh a ton!
Of course if one used the "old" method with plates, which i consider very safe if done well, it may or may not pass the mot. Simple answer ask an mot station.
