No seat belts on side facing seats, will break your neck, and all belt mounting points either must be on an aproved seat or throught floor to sized plates.
abaelts only work on forward facing seats, all in veh construction & use books on line.

Do you know what make the R&R bed is?

I guess the safe answer is, it's probably not advisable to fit belts to a seat that's not designed with seat belts in mind. R&R beds that come with seat belts are often built and fitted to a completely different standard to those without.

it depends very much on the construction on the R&R bed.
Some are constructed to have seatbelts added.
Some are absolutely constructed to NOT be travelling seats.

very very few will have passed the official test to be certified as that required crash testing of the seat actually fitted to the vehicle type it is fitted in - and the makers of the beds have not got the funds for testing their seats in all the different possible vehicles and wrecking them.
But it doesn't mean it is not possible to add belts TO THE RIGHT SEATS. You need to speak to the seat maker.

Smart beds do a R&R bed with seat belts

Here I guess it then comes down to how it’s fitted into the vehicle

Converters Murvi (Ivybridge in Devon) fit them to the rock and roll in their Murvi Morello. They might share information about that.

As it happens their rock and roller lives side on as a sofa but ingeniously can be swung through 90° to make a forward facing bench seat with three belts.

As an aside, what most people who have R&R beds with seatbelts tend to do is drop the seat down to make into the bed before taking the camper for its MOT.
The Seatbelts are not tested when it is in bed mode.

Adding seatbelts and having them safe is not a trivial matter it must be understood. The forces involved are far greater than people may realise.
As an example, the VW Transporter is a very popular base vehicle for conversion into a Campervan. There are loads of different Transporter Models out there, but for the professional Converters, VW actually made a specific model that looked just the same as the typical Transporter but had additional strengthening in the floor specifically to add in rear Travel Seats. DIY convertors would not have access to this version and would (should!) add their own strengthening/spreader plates under the floor to take the load.

The VW T4 Transporter I bought to convert had a rear travel seat and a wheelchair harness added in to what was originally a regular panel van. The amount of above/underfloor strengthening parts I removed was quite remarkable.
As an example ....

The older the van no seat belts required .if the vans pre 2000 you can still fit lap belts but by 2010 and after 3 point only in uk

To get an idea of how strong the seat belt mounts need to be, you should be able to lift the entire vehicle up by the seat belt. Thats true of a campervan, if not a big motorhome.
