Hello everybody.Bought a motor today,it's on dissabled tax so i have to change it over.Does anyone know iff i have to fill a form ln and take it to dvla,or just take the log book to DVLA.Iv'e done it once before, but can't remember how i did it.All advice welcome.Cheers.

We bought a disability vehicle last month which had a disabled tax-exempt disc. We couldn't drive it but had to arrange for the dealer to transport it to the DVLA office with the tax application form then drive it to our home bearing the new chargeable disc. It could be done via mail but would take at least a week (at best).

Take it to your local DVLA Office and they will change it over there and then for you.

V5 certificate of insurance, mot if applicable local vehicle licencing office, you should walk away with a tax disc..two weeks down the line a new accurate v5 should land on the doormat

My Serena was on disabled tax so i just drove it straight to the DVLA office took a ticket waited to be called then filled out a form and paid for new tax.All in all took me about 45 mins.
