Reversing camera fault

I have two, one facing back and one facing down. The down one is fine, but the back-facing one has scan lines, and the picture quality varies a lot, I thought it might be a duff suppressor, but even engine off, it's bad, but I rarely use it as I have the door mirrors which cover most of my needs.

Occasional flickering picture sometimes no picture.
I'm assuming bad connection somewhere ?
Any advice on where to start welcome

Hi Alcam
Had a similar problem recently with my cam with water ingress. Dismantled and dunked the internals in Isopropyl Alcohol for a couple of days Removed and allowed to air dry and re assembled and sealed and now works fine again.

Cheers for that . Was reasonably sure I'd have to start at camera end . No excuse now !
I will update as soon as , variety of reasons (excuses) for delay in doing this for a a week or 2
